Jo and David’s wedding at Peebles Registry Office

Jo and David had small wedding at Peebles Registry Office, Scottish Borders. Although actually being from South Wales and Paisley they chose Peebles for their wedding because of their love of  mountain biking at Glentress. Their wedding was a lovely personal affair; even their two dogs attended. Afterwards the reception was in a cottage on the edge of Peebles in the hills. There Jo

Gemma and Alastair’s wedding photography in the Scottish Borders

When Gemma and Alastair approached me about photographing their wedding I was very excited. The couple had put an enormous amount of effort in to planning their wedding and had a very specific idea of the style and look of the day. In addition to this I should also mention that Gemma is a professional artist who clearly knew what she wanted from the photographs

Claudine and Mike’s wedding at Dryburgh Abbey, Melrose

Claudine and Mike were married in the romantic ruins of Dryburgh Abbey near Melrose, Scottish Borders. The ceremony took place in the sunken chapel – perhaps the only part of the Abbey with a functional roof. Their bridesmaids and ring-bearer brought tears to the eyes of most parents in the room. After the wedding ceremony we were a little bit unlucky with the rain. However,

Pre-wedding “engagement” photo-shoot at Aberlady

Lana and Stuart chose Aberlady beach, East Lothian, in the evening for their pre-wedding engagement photo-shoot. After carefully checking the weather forecast, the sunset time, and the tide-table we agreed a time to meet. The time was good, the tide was good, and the weather was nothing short of miraculous – it was raining to the north of us, it was raining to the south

Kim and Sunil church wedding, Coates Memorial Church, Paisley

For the church wedding of Kim and Sunil I began the day with the bride. Kim and her bridesmaids were having a great time getting ready and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We then went by vintage Rolls Royce and vintage bus to Coates Memorial Church in Paisley – a most impressive church. The reception was in Paisley Town Hall. The decoration inside the town

Charley and Ryan at Callendar House, Falkirk

Charley and Ryan had their wedding ceremony at Callendar House in Falkirk. Their guests were very unlucky in that the heavens opened about half an hour before the ceremony and the rain poured down. Most of the guests arrived at a run. However, the bride’s chauffeur was prepared and she made it in mostly dry. During the ceremony the weather cleared up and we were

Deborah and Kevin at St Patrick’s, Coatbridge

Deborah and Kevin were married in the grand St Patrick’s church in Coatbridge. From there we went to Viewpark Gardens in Glasgow for photos of the bridal party. The gardens have a variety of open areas and glasshouses for different climates such as tropical or desert. I don't know if there are many places in Glasgow you can have your photos taken with banana trees

Amy and Robert at Edinburgh Castle

Amy and Robert were married in Edinburgh Castle Gatehouse. This is a lovely, intimate venue that has access to a large private terrace overlooking the esplanade. As part of the venue we were allowed to use the battlements and gun battery within the main castle for the photos.
