Summer is a bad time for a wedding photographer to keep up to date with his blog. A better bet is have a look at what I have been posting on Facebook. As an option for couples I now offer to put some of the official photos on Facebook the next day. I have found couples love this for a few reasons; they get to see some of their lovely photos almost immediately, it gives them something they can share with friends and family who couldn’t be there, it is something they can use to say to mum/dad/bridesmaids/groomsmen etc “put your phone away, there’ll be some photos you can share on Facebook tomorrow”. As I say, it’s an option and up to the couple to choose.
Because it looks unlikely I will find the time to blog all the weddings I have done since my last post I am going post the highlights. More can be seen on my Facebook and Google+ pages.
This year, amongst others, and at some places more than once, I have photographed at; Elie in Fife, St Andrew’s in the Square in Glasgow, Falkirk Trinity Church, Kilconquhar in Fife, St Columba’s Free Church of Scotland in Edinburgh, Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel in West Lothian, Marriott Hotel in Corstorphine, The Caves in Edinburgh, Peebles Registry Office, Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Gilmerton House in East Lothian, Colessio Hotel in Stirling, Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh, Leitholm in the Borders, St Gilbert’s Church in Glasgow, Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Glasgow, University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel, Cottiers in Glasgow, Stirling golf course, Eskmills in Musselburgh.
