Lana and Stuart chose Aberlady beach, East Lothian, in the evening for their pre-wedding engagement photo-shoot. After carefully checking the weather forecast, the sunset time, and the tide-table we agreed a time to meet. The time was good, the tide was good, and the weather was nothing short of miraculous – it was raining to the north of us, it was raining to the south of us, but we had a perfect corridor of sunshine from the west.
The sunset was spectacular. We spent over an hour on the dunes and the beach, and got a fantastic variety of images.
As well as an opportunity to get some photos that you will treasure forever, the pre-wedding photo shoot is great way to practice in front of a camera or at least learn to relax. If you are at all nervous about having a camera pointed at you then these can really help. I can also give you some coaching about poses or discuss anything else you might think of for your wedding photography. With this experience behind you you can go in to your wedding day knowing what to expect (from me, at least). I highly recommend the pre-wedding or engagement photo shoot.
