Master Photographer’s Association Scotland Awards

When I was first accepted in to the Master Photographer’s Association it felt like an triumph. I had been scrutinised on the way I ran my business, my professional standards, and had a body of my work judged. Only if I made the pass mark would I be admitted as a qualified member. Success was not assured. Achieving membership had been a personal and professional milestone of mine.

So, as you can probably imagine, to have won something the first time I entered the Scottish awards 18 months later was a terrific feeling. What better excuse to dress up in a dinner jacket and go to an awards dinner (on oscar night too). In fact, it was better than the oscars – I’ll take my wedding photography award any day.
