Andrew was brilliant from the first email to hand delivering our completed wedding album. He is a true professional which comes through in the photos he takes. My husband and I are a little camera shy but Andrew put us at ease from the beginning and our pre-wedding photoshoot helped us massively for preparing for the big day. On the day itself, he was punctual and professional and was great at herding the guests! We had lots of different weather on the day from sunshine to clouds to mist, fog and rain and through it all Andrew captured some beautiful shots. Our wedding album is stunning and so unique, we can’t wait to show our friends and family.

In a word, Andrew is fantastic! My wife and I hired Andrew to be our wedding photographer. From our initial conversation, Andrew put us at ease, was very professional and had lots of great and inventive ideas.

Andrew was great at communicating with us on the run-up to the wedding and agreeing a plan on what photos we wanted, who we wanted in our photos and when we wanted to take the photos (within the limits created by our plan for the day and the venue).

We opted for a pre-wedding photo shoot, which I would highly recommend if (like my wife and me) you are not a natural in front of the camera. Again, Andrew put us at ease and talked through how to set up for the photos and look more at ease in the staged photos. It was a great practice for the big day.

We had hired a videographer for the wedding as well. Andrew was great at co-ordinating with the videographer in the run up to the wedding as well.

On the day itself Andrew was brilliant. He turned up on time and kept to the schedule, and was so good at moving around and getting the candid photos that I genuinely did not realise he was getting so many of the wonderful shots we ended up with! He was very polite and professional when it came to directing guests for the staged shots and he worked really well with the videographer as well - to the extent that in the evening, when the daylight was fading, Andrew was able to get the videographer to help him with lighting the shots to get some really cool and unique photos in the twilight!

The photos were absolutely incredible and really captured what we wanted from our wedding day. It gave us lots of perspectives we wouldn't have been able to enjoy and the creativity and passion that Andrew has for photography really shines through in the photos.

We opted for the wedding album as part of our package. Again, Andrew took the time to come and talk through our options, what might work well for our preferences and what might not. He helped us to reach a decision that was ours which was much appreciated as there are so many options to choose from when designing the wedding album!

The wedding album is such a beautiful item and the quality is clear to see. The pictures are so vibrant and we could not be happier with it. We would definitely go with Andrew again for any photo sessions in the future.

As we had expected, Andrew captured the heart and soul of the day, our guests, ourselves, and the atmosphere. He’s much more than a wedding photographer, he’s a documentarian and artist. We got married this summer at Traquair House in the Borders, and Andrew was our photographer. Before the wedding we had both an engagement photoshoot, which I would definitely recommend if you are uncomfortable in front of the camera, and spent time at the venue to look at possible photo ideas. Both of these helped us feel a lot more relaxed with everything on the wedding day itself. Andrew was fantastic with us, and really worked hard to incorporate our ideas whilst also providing his expertise on locations, poses, etc. His style was professional, relaxed and unobtusive, which meant we got some great photos of even the most reluctant of models. Most importantly, we absolutely loved the photos he delivered which contained a great mix of candid photos and the wedding essentials. We had our wedding at Borthwick Castle, near Edinburgh, in September 2019. We did not have any contacts in the region so did our own research online, reading other people's reviews, etc. From the first emails and subsequent coffee meeting with Andrew we had a great working relationship. He was very clear about the different options available and put together a great plan for the day, taking into account our wishes where we had them, but for a large part we were confident in following his suggestions. He was a friendly, calm and patient presence on the day, including dealing with some "helpful" children. The photos themselves turned out great, and while we initially planned to have a digital only package the album we finally ordered (no pressure!) was beautifully made with great attention to detail. The first image I obtained from Andrew wasn't after my wedding but before it. The picture of our big day was conjured up by Andrew's description of our wedding day unfolding through a lens you simply can't buy in the shops. He is calm, knowledgeable and experienced as well as extremely professional. He spent time before our day explaining what would happen and the significant moments that we may want to have captured. We are utterly grateful to Andrew for the stunning photos of our day. We have beautiful pictures of the whole wedding party and more. My husband and I are entirely delighted with the images of our shared moments on our wedding day. There was a great variety of traditional photos and some spectacular photos of our guests greeting one another and enjoying themselves, which is reassuring to us that everyone had a great time.
