Claudine and Mike were married in the romantic ruins of Dryburgh Abbey near Melrose, Scottish Borders. The ceremony took place in the sunken chapel – perhaps the only part of the Abbey with a functional roof. Their bridesmaids and ring-bearer brought tears to the eyes of most parents in the room.
After the wedding ceremony we were a little bit unlucky with the rain. However, the Abbey Hotel staff were very helpful and brought umbrellas. We still managed to get some very good portraits in the grounds.
The reception was in the Abbey Hotel. Claudine and Mike had chosen a beach theme for the table and cake. Decorated with edible seashells the cake even had realistic sugar sand.
It was a brilliant day. Thanks Claudine and Mike for choosing me to be your wedding photographer.
