Charley and Ryan at Callendar House, Falkirk

Charley and Ryan had their wedding ceremony at Callendar House in Falkirk. Their guests were very unlucky in that the heavens opened about half an hour before the ceremony and the rain poured down. Most of the guests arrived at a run. However, the bride’s chauffeur was prepared and she made it in mostly dry. During the ceremony the weather cleared up and we were able to use the attractive grounds and arboretum for the group photos and portraits. Although, at one point we were having bits of stuff thrown at us by an irate squirrel. Ah, the perils of outdoor photography!

Afterwards the party moved to the nearby Cladhan Hotel for the wedding breakfast and the dancing. Lots of dancing…

Deborah and Kevin at St Patrick’s, Coatbridge

Deborah and Kevin were married in the grand St Patrick’s church in Coatbridge. From there we went to Viewpark Gardens in Glasgow for photos of the bridal party. The gardens have a variety of open areas and glasshouses for different climates such as tropical or desert. I don’t know if there are many places in Glasgow you can have your photos taken with banana trees in the background.

After the photo-stop it was off to Sloans, the oldest pub in Glasgow, for the reception. The staff at Sloans were very efficient and the service was very polished. Following the meal the party moved upstairs to the grand ballroom and danced the night away.

Amy and Robert at Edinburgh Castle

Amy and Robert were married in Edinburgh Castle Gatehouse. This is a lovely, intimate venue that has access to a large private terrace overlooking the esplanade. As part of the venue we were allowed to use the battlements and gun battery within the main castle for the photos.

Wedderburn Castle Party

This was a birthday party in the magnificent Wedderburn Castle, Duns, Berwickshire. A great night was had by all, though I am not sure how they were going to get the magician’s playing card off that high ceiling!
